As September nears its end, I thought I'd try to take up blogging again! Things have been going really well so far, as I've been focusing more on pushing myself to try new things and get more involved within clubs on campus. As Associate General Manager of the HEAT Network, I have started going to Student Media Council meetings, which is lead by the Comm school's Assistant Director of Content Strategy and is for leaders within Comm clubs to discuss strategies within the school's and clubs' social media.
I have also joined the Hofstra American Marketing Association, which has guest speakers who work in the marketing industry come throughout the semester. Another group on campus that I have joined is the pre-professional communications fraternity, Zeta Phi Eta and am currently in the process of rushing.
As well as getting more involved with groups on campus, I am trying to cook more for myself. From trying out new ways to season chicken to making things like spinach dip, I am trying to expand the types of meals I can make. It is hard though, with limited space in my mini fridge to not having a lot of pans and utensils to trying to buy food on a college budget, there have been many obstacles. But I'm still trying to find easy, healthy meals, especially ones that can be made in large batches.
Hopefully the rest of the semester continues to go well, and hopefully I'll have more cool and exciting things to post about on this blog!
